If you use YELLOW PAGER, you must accept this disclaimer of warranty.
The author disclaims all warranties, expressed or implied,
including, without limitation, the warranties of
merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The author

which may result from the use of YELLOW PAGER."
Introduction
------------
Yellow Pager came about as a request from a Wildcat Sysop to make
a bulletin, from a questionaire, so that businesses could leave
classified ads. The adavantage of this type of program, over a
"Door", is that whenever a person downloaded a mail packet the
bulletin is usually included if it has been updated since the
last call, thus giving better coverage.
Yellow Pager will allow a business to simply give their name,
address and phone number or add in an additional 10 lines of
comments.
What is Shareware?
------------------
Shareware is a form of distribution which gives users a chance to try
software before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
to use it, you are expected to register. Individual programs differ on
details -- some request registration while others require it, some
specify a maximum trial period. With registration, you get anything
from the simple right to continue using the software to an updated
program with printed manual.
Registration
------------
If you find YELLOW PAGER useful and you continue to use it after a reasonable
(30 days) trial period, you are required to make a registration payment
of $15.00 to Larry Edwards. See "REGIS.TXT" for more information.
The $15.00 registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
computer at any one time.
You must treat a registered version of this software just like a book.
Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the same time,
this software may be used by any number of people and may be freely moved
from one computer location to another, as long as there is no possibility
of it being used in two different locations at the same time.
Commercial users of YELLOW PAGER must register and pay for their copies of the
program within 30 days of first use or their license is withdrawn. For
site-license information, contact the author direct.
You are encouraged to pass (unregistered) copies of YELLOW PAGER along
to your friends for evaluation. Please encourage them to register their
copy if they find that they can use it. All registered users will
receive a copy of the latest version of YELLOW PAGER when they register.
Though the program is not "crippled" in anyway, this shareware version
shows an "Unregistered " status message on the Main Screen.
Please fill out the included registration order form (file REGIS.TXT)
and send in your registration today. You can send REGIS.TXT to your
printer by typing:
"COPY REGIS.TXT PRN" (without the quotes)
and then pressing ENTER while at the MS-DOS prompt.
What Do I Get for Registering, and Why Should I?
------------------------------------------------
Here are some reasons why you should register:
o You can get a registered copy of the program by calling my BBS,
with your name shown as being registered. When a new version comes
out you can download a registered copy from my BBS.
o You get a LIFETIME license, meaning you're entitled to all future
versions/upgrades of YELLOW PAGER.
o You get unlimited technical support via surface mail or electronic
mail.
o You have the author's ear when it comes to suggesting new features
and capabilities.
o You help increase competition in the software industry by keeping
prices low (shareware doesn't rely on expensive advertising).
o Finally, you can be proud of the honesty and integrity you've shown
in registering the program and having participated in the Shareware
revolution.
Installation and Operation
--------------------------
This is very simple, extract "YP.EXE" into any directory that
is in your PATH statement. You will need to create a configuration
file(see SAMPLE.CFG) and put it in the same directory as YP.EXE.
Your .cfg file will look like:
C:\WC30\YPHEAD.ASC <-The location and name of the HEADER FILE.
C:\WC30\QUES\QUES0003.002 <-The location and name of questionaire ANSWERS.
C:\WC30\BULL\BULL14.BBS <-The location and name of OUTPUT File.
You will need to make your .CFG file like above without the comments.
This MUST be called "YP.CFG", that is what the program looks for.
You can create your own "YPHEAD.ASC" file and through the configuration
have it used as the header for your bulletin. I have included a sample
"YPHEAD.ASC" file. This must also be in the same directory as YP.EXE and
YP.CFG.
You will need to use the questionaire I have included (Ques0003.Dat,the
BUSINESS Questionaire). Simply copy this into your "Ques" directory.
It can be called like any other questionaire from Wildcat. Be sure that
you make the needed changes in Makewild to add this questionaire to the
areas needed.
Now comes the hard part, the operation. Type YP, that is it. It will
get the rest of the needed information from the .cfg file and will make
a bulletin like the included "Sample.BBS". You can use the "Catcolor"
program to view this bulletin.
I call it as part of my nightly event, I have the following line in
my "Daily.Bat" file:
Call YP
By using "Call" in the .Bat file it will cause the program to run
then return to the .bat file to execute the next command.
If "YP" encounters any problems it will write it to the screen, plus
make a file called "YP.ERR" with a notation of the problem. "YP" should
be a very well behaved program and if it does encounter any problems it
will simply return control back to the calling batch file, so the BBS
won't get hung up.

Final Remarks
-------------
Many Thanks to my Wife, Evelyn, for her Friendship, Love, and Support in
every aspect of my life. Especially my addiction to computer keyboards.
I would also like to thank Todd Hafer, Sysop of The Shoppers Corner BBS,
for recommending this program and for his help in creating the YPHEAD file
and the questionaire.
I've made every effort to provide a safe and stable program, BUT...
If you find errors or additions, please let me know.
NOTE: Your registration and support for this program will enable me to
continue to develop YELLOW PAGER and add other valuable features in future
versions.
I'd appreciate bug reports, new feature requests, comments, performance
problems, constructive criticism, suggestions, additions.
